Investors in the legal marijuana industry are lining up to pick fruit from the latest medical marijuana tree to begin blooming: Nevada.
A Las Vegas Sun article compared the current spate of medical marijuana investors that have set their sights on Las Vegas to those who showed up when gambling was legalized in 1931.
“It exceeds our wildest dreams. When we wrote this law, we said we wanted to make it attractive commercially so that people with money and resources will come here and fight for these licenses. They’re coming here in droves.” Sen. Tick Segerblom
Still, since only 40 licenses to grow, test and sell marijuana will be issued in Las Vegas/Clark County, potential licensees who are properly positioned stand to attract large numbers from potential marijuana investors.
